Description:Head of Risk / Chief Risk Officer
The Purpose The Company seeks enthusiastic, hands on, qualified actuary to lead its Solvency II implementation and overall Risk and Capital Management functions.
- This will include: - Development of internal monitoring and reporting to enable the Company to optimise the use and deployment of its capital. - To plan and drive the implementation of Solvency II across the Company by end October 2012 - To develop, implement and manage on an ongoing basis the Company’s ERM framework, including Risk Strategy, Risk Appetite, Risk Policies and Risk Measurement and Reporting - The Company’s Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process and reports required disclosures - The Company’s reporting capability to produce results using the Standard Formula - Internal Models including stochastic ALM models as required - Ensuring full participation in QIS5 - Ensuring compliance with Group standards - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Actuarial/COO/CEO
Required Technical Skills and Experience
- Qualified Actuary with a strong understanding of the Solvency II regulatory framework and standard financial reporting methodologies. - Project planning and management experience - Actuarial budgeting, capital planning, reporting and valuation experience - Knowledge of unit-linked and tracker products - Experience of implementation of ERM frameworks would be a definite advantage - Strong Microsoft Office skills are required with good knowledge of Word and Excel - Prophet Experience would be an advantage
