Job Title: Investment Accounting & Fund Administration Manager



Location: Dublin



Reporting to: Head of Finance



Principal responsibilities:

- Design, implementation and maintenance of suitable control environment to ensure that all classes of unit holders and the shareholder are treated equitably and in line with the issued terms and conditions and to minimize the risk of occurrence of unit pricing errors

- Continuous review of pricing and appropriations methodology and recommend changes to senior management where necessary

- Management of team whose primary duties are production of unit prices (on both NAV and mirror bases), calculation of appropriation amounts and trading in the underlying assets for the internal funds

- Management of team whose primary duties are to manage and account for investment transaction activities including general ledger and asset management system postings, reconciliations, management of cash positions and banking relationships

- Management of fund lifecycle including implementation of new funds and maturity/closure of funds

- Management of arrangements with the Company's investment managers for the implementation of investment policies associated with the internal funds and portfolios operated by the Company

- Lead role in investigating potential pricing errors and implementing compensation strategies where necessary

- Provision of investment analysis for management information and for quarterly and annual returns to IIF, CSO and IFSRA plus financial statements

- Production of performance statistics for the company’s fund range in conjunction with the Regional Investment Officer

- Liaison with the external auditors concerning the annual audit

- Formation of effective working relationships with other members of team (e.g. Finance, IT, Operations, Actuarial)



Qualifications, Experience & Personal Characteristics

- Ideally a qualified accountant or equivalent qualification with 7+ years PQE with exposure to Irish GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.

- Experience of the financial services sector, ideally life assurance business.

- Strong Microsoft Office skills are required with good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Project.

- Excellent written and verbal communications, interpersonal and influencing skills.

- A disciplined and transparent approach to planning and tracking deliverable production.

- Ability to manage multiple demands and competing priorities in a proactive and flexible manner.

- Ability to think analytically, to make clear decisions on complex issues and to apply expertise to issues arising outside of their core area.

- Creative, solution provider able to take initiative and to work to a brief as appropriate with very good attention to detail and accuracy.

- Independent, team player, able to forge effective working relationships with internal and external contacts.

Requirements: Must have relevant experience in Fund Administration and management

Salary: 80,000
